Since yesterday I noticed some changes in the icons and menu shapes. I did not update the forum...

Two additional possibilities to consider:

Maybe the web browser is what has automatically updated, and intentionally or unintentionally affected the results you're looking at. See if there is still an obvious change if you use a different browser platform besides the one you're currently making this observation on.

Perhaps your style makes use of either Google fonts or some other online font repository, and this repository has intentionally or unintentionally changed something about the font metrics. We don't know your site or your phpBB style in order to already rule this out by looking.
